How Much Does Data Cost in the UK? Prices per Record Explained

UK consumer marketing data is priced per record, and the price falls as the volume rises. Targeting and extras such as email or HLR checks add to it. Here's how it works, with real prices.

Volume

At DataMembership, one-off orders start at 7.9p a record for 1,000 records (£79) and slide down to 3p a record from 225,000. Memberships use the same rates: from 7p a record on Starter to 3p on Elite.

Targeting

One targeting filter (for example area, homeowners or over 50s) is included. A second filter adds 15%; a third, 20%. Some filters and additions — email, energy provider, life insurance, wants solar and similar — carry a small extra cost per record.

Example prices

RecordsOne-off pricePer record
1,000£797.9p
5,000£3256.5p
10,000£6006p
25,000£1,3755.5p
100,000£4,5004.5p

One targeting filter included. Build your order to see the exact price for your audience.

What to watch for

Very cheap data is usually old or recycled. Check that every record has an opt-in date, source URL and consent channels, and that it is TPS/CTPS screened.

Questions

Are there set-up fees?
